Nor-Cal VS. So-Cal Shoot Out

The Nor-Cal VS. So-Cal Shoot Out at the Chowchilla Barn Burner was a fast race in deed!

On December 6, 2008 riders from all over the place made their way out to the flat oval track at the Chowchilla-Madera County Fair Grounds to shoot it out. Participants raced 20 laps around the short track competing for the grand prize. The top three to finish the race were:

1st	Jethro Halbert	#69
2nd	Sam Halbert	#43
3rd	Jimmy Wood	#66

The purse paid $280 to the first place winner, $168 to the second and $112 to the third place winner.

The race results for the last three races have been posted on our website. You can find them on the results page of our website by logging into http://www.racingdms.com/results/.

Pictures have been posted

Pictures from 11/1/08 have been posted. Please take a look, I am working on the video now. I am now going back to 10/25/08 to get them posted as well.

I also heard that they are working on the posting process with the Web Creator and should have something this week for all results if everything goes well.

Nolan Reitz #5 wreck

Just to update everyone. Nolan is OK after flying off his bike in Race 11. So is Caden Stoll (the racer that went down in front of him). Nolan and Caden are good friends. Nolan had 10 stiches and will be back racing at the next race. It turned our there was more fear about stitches than pain from the wreck. Now all he can talk about is how the stitches didn't hurt.

Thanks to everyone for all of your concern and support. That is what THE BARN is all about. If anyone has video or pictures, please let us know. We are trying to see what really happened and how he hit Caden's Bike and ultimately the ground...

Knuckle Head Racing Sponsors the "Money Race"

Knuckle Head Racing will be sponsoring a money race at the Chowchilla Barn Burner in an effort to raise rider counts and to help support the Chowchilla Barn Burner in general.

Each of the remaining races in the Chowchilla Barn Burner series will pay out a total of $100.00 for the sponsored Money Race. The first place rider will be awarded $50.00, $30.00 to the second place rider and $20.00 to the third place rider.

The Money Race will be determined by a Knuckle Head Racing representative at the riders meeting. There is no additional cost for riders to participate. Riders who simply sign up to race at the Barn may become a part of the Money Race... for FREE!

Note: The Money Race will only take place when Knuckle Head Racing is present at the track. Late entries are not permitted. Knuckle Head Racing will announce what class will be racing for the Money Race at the riders meeting. Please be present for additional details.

Motorcycle Practice is Underway

Racers line up at the gate and wait anxiously to kick off race 3 of 13 this evening. Practice for motorcycles begins now with races following immediately after. If you're at home reading this article on you're computer. You're in the wrong place. You should be down here at the Chowchilla Barn Burner!

Will You Be There?

The first of Chowchilla Barn Burner's 13 race series is scheduled to begin on October 4, 2008. Gate's will be opening 7:00 a.m. with practice beginning at 9:00 a.m. Class and Race schedules are available on the home page of Chowchilla Barn Burner's recently updated website.

Chowchilla Barn Burner is Under Way

Chowchilla Barn Burner is officially under way. Joe Diaz (pictured above) began preparation of the oval track by wetting the track with more than 20,000 gallons of water today. As Joe began tilling the track he pulled up to us briefly and said "The track look's wet now, but in about one hour the track will be perfect".

Open Traction Practice is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. this evening at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds under the Madera County Ag Boosters/Associated Feed Pavilion. Today's practice is free to any rider thanks to the very generous support of Rod Lake Racing and Cycle Pros. Don't hesitate to come out and join us.
